Male Injectables

Male Injectables

Injectables, including both BOTOX and fillers, are the facial rejuvenation treatment of choice for many men. It’s a non-surgical procedure that can quickly and easily turn back the clock with no downtime – who has time for weeks of waiting? Men are often unwilling to put up with a long recovery time, and injectables are the perfect answer. Dr. Helen Allison offers Botox for men and has great results with this procedure.

Stay competitive in the workplace with injectable treatments for men.

While the focus on men is often more about staying competitive in the workplace than it is about rejuvenation, there is nothing wrong with choosing to look as young as you feel. Dermal fillers and BOTOX can definitely help. But it is important to see someone with years of experience who really understands male facial anatomy and the male aesthetic. Treatments with BOTOX and fillers have become such a part of the everyday conversation that many of us tend to forget that treatment with injectables is a medical procedure.

Board-certified plastic surgeon for men

Dr. Helen Allison is a board-certified plastic surgeon who has been in practice for over 20 years. His goal with every male injectables patient is to deliver a refreshed, natural-looking result. No one needs to know that you had anything done unless you decide to tell them.

Dermal fillers

There are many different options when it comes to fillers. Some are better for certain areas than others. This is another reason why it’s smart to see an experienced injector like Dr. Allison. He not only understands the pros and cons of each filler, but he knows how to combine different fillers and BOTOX injections to really deliver a non-surgical facelift.

Types of Fillers

Restylane

This is a hyaluronic acid (HA) based filler. HA is a naturally occurring substance in our bodies. The nice thing about HA fillers is that they are reversible if necessary. Dr. Helen Allison uses Restylane to diminish under-eye circles by filling in the tear trough area. As opposed to a needle, he uses a cannula to inject the filler to reduce the risk of bruising.

Restylane Silk

This HA filler was specifically designed to treat “smoker’s” lines around the mouth and improve both the shape and volume of the lips. For his lip augmentation patients, Dr. Helen Allison always starts small, 0.5 – 1.0 ml, and uses a cannula to deliver natural-looking volume to the lips with minimal bruising.

Restylane Lyft

Dr. Helen Allison typically uses this filler to restore larger areas of lost volume, such as those in the mid-face and cheek. The filler is placed deep, and care is taken not to widen the face with prominent cheekbones. The goal is for you to look like you. Only better.

Juvéderm

Like Restylane, the Juvéderm family of fillers is HA-based fillers. Dr. Helen Allison  typically uses this one for restoring volume to the upper and lower lip as part of a lip augmentation

Juvéderm Vollure

This contains different size molecules of filler in what is called cross-linking technology. The benefit of Vollure is that it can provide structure without too much volume. This makes it an ideal filler for treating the nasolabial folds, fines lines around the mouth, and fine lines in the cheeks.

Juvéderm Volbella

Like Vollure, Volbella uses cross-linking technology. It was specifically designed for treating the lips. It is actually injected horizontally, like steps of a ladder. It smooths out the lips and delivers very subtle plumping. Patients tend to describe it as looking like permanent lip gloss.

Juvéderm Voluma

This filler has the largest molecules, making it ideal for re-plumping the mid-face and cheeks. Again, the goal is to restore your cheeks, not change them.
